A Lie By Brian Nyoto
My finger moves an
inch
Ready the red
envelopes
Chop up the tomatoes
A rose strapped to
my chest
Fill the crimson
balloons full with luscious warm air
The aura is but
deflated
Icey drinks quench
the never-ending thirst
My distress expands.
My cup is half empty
My orbs gaze at
selfish beauty
Beauty that is not
mine
My red lips wish to
blow a somber kiss to her
She actually came!!
A surprise as cold
as my tongue
Everyone is jolly
Songs of glee reign
supreme
They see my half
full glass and shout for joy
She sees my
wonderful scarlet garment
You see a
passionless moment
I see a lie
