Procrastination by Sean Odera
Alright, let’s start with math today—
Just a few problems, not too much delay.
I’ll finish in time to review my writing,
It’s only a few lessons, nothing too frightening.
And after that, I’ll call my mom,
Tell her about my day, stay calm.
I’ll chat about everything I’ve done this week,
Maybe the sports and the goals I’ll seek.
Then I’ll clean my bed, make it neat,
So at night, I’ll have a place to sleep.
Yeah, that’s the plan, I’ll follow through,
These are the things I’ve set out to do.
But still, I sit here, scrolling away,
Watching reels, letting hours stray.
Nibbling bread, as my thoughts mislead—
Honestly, I might as well be dead.
But tomorrow? Tomorrow, I’ll start again.
I’ll begin fresh, reset my plan.
I’ll sit down and… just one more reel—
What’s another minute in this spinning wheel?
